BLS for Healthcare Providers

Who should take this course?

The AHA’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.

  • Initial Class;  This class is for someone that has never taken an BLS classroom course or has allowed their certification to expire. This class is available Daytime only. This BLS Initial class takes approximately 3 – 4 HRS to complete. We have smaller attendance per class and allows us to present the material in less time than most centers.

 

  • Renewal Class;  If you still hold a valid, non-expired BLS card or eCard from the American Heart Association, then the Renewal class is for you.  This class is available Day Classes & Evening Classes.  This BLS Renewal class take approximately 2 HRS to complete.

 

  • Heartcode BLS Blended Learning (complete package):  We do not recommend this course for new students or if you have never taken an in-person BLS  class.  This course is an alternative to taking a Renewal classroom course. This course should be used by individuals that have limited time for the classroom Renewal class.  Heartcode BLS is the AHA’s blended learning delivery method for the AHA’s BLS Course. Blended learning is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner, followed by a hands-on session.  HeartCode BLS is a self-directed, comprehensive eLearning program that uses eSimulation technology to allow students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings.  This course is available on your schedule and skills testing can be arranged almost anytime.

We offer BLS Classes Wednesday & Fridays

Initial Day Classes from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Renewal Day Classes from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Renewal Evening Classes Wednesdays from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM

You must register before coming to class.

We do not accept Walk Ins during class. Please register on our website before coming to class.

Registrations stay open until class starts, so you can always register before class starts.

ACLS Provider Programs

Is ACLS the right course for me?

ACLS is geared towards healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies or personnel in emergency response. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years. Please contact your employer to ensure that you are selecting the correct course.

The ACLS course is offered as an:

  • Initial Class;  This class is for someone that has never taken an ACLS classroom course or has allowed their certification to expire. This class is available Daytime only.   • Heartcode ACLS Skills Testing Session Only;  We offer a package that includes the Heartcode ACLS course and the skills testing  session included.  You can find that package here (just click on this link). If you have taken the Heartcode ACLS Online portion and just need the Skills testing session portion only, this is the class for you.

We offer ACLS Classes 6 Days a week.

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday.

Initial Classes from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Renewal Classes from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

The American Heart Association has included an online Pre-Course to be completed prior to attending the New 2018 ACLS courses.

This is a Pre-Course and it is a good way to prepare for the course.  It is highly recommended for new participants, but will benefit all that need ACLS.

You should print the score sheet and bring it to class.  If you do not have access to a printer, take a picture of your score sheet with your cellphone and you can text or email the proof to us in class. A score of 70% or higher is recommended prior to participating in the ACLS course.

PALS for Healthcare Providers

PALS Provider is a very specialized course.  Usually used in the Emergency departments, Pediatric departments and Pediatric Intensive Care  environments. Many new Grads get PALS to beef up their resume.

 As one of our students, we keep an open door policy.  Any of our students can sit in (Audit) on any of our regular courses.

We offer PALS 5 times a week.
